Adult Ministries
CTUMC offers a tremendous amount of adult ministries for seekers of God's truth. These adult minitry programs provide not only insight into your own life, but also provide practicle hands-on application you can use everyday. 55 PlusOlder Adult Ministry Mission Statement: Older Adult Ministry provides a network of resources and spiritual, service, and social opportunities for mature (55+) adults of Concord Trinity UMC. Some of our ongoing groups are: Book Discussion, which meets the 2nd Thursday of the month, a Blood Pressure clinic is scheduled the 2nd Sunday of each month, Bible Study every Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. in the Library, and the first Wednesday of each month we meet for “lunch and a movie.” The 55+ group has an ongoing service project of visiting shut-ins.
All are invited to participate in lively discussion and learning each Tuesday from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Classes begin September 5th. Our first topic for the fall is heaven. We’ll look at biblical references to an afterlife, what other cultures believe, and examine our own beliefs and why we hold them. We meet in room 218. No reservation necessary.
Sisters Bible StudyAll women are invited to attend one of our three Sisters Bible Study groups. Sunday Morning Small GroupsEach day offers us a new opportunity to deepen our walk with Christ. The adult small group ministries at Concord Trinity are designed to help adults of all ages form connections of friendship and fellowship with each other as they grow in their relationship with God.
Sunday Evening Small GroupsBeginnings 102 introduces and explores the spiritual habits of the heart. Each session includes small group discussion and a video presentation. During the week, you’ll experiment at home with a variety of spiritual practices to see what works for each of you. We’ll also tackle some big questions in this 10-week study such as: Where is the Spirit in spirituality? Can I find balance in a whirlwind world? What do I do with my doubts? All are welcome to join Debbie Irving for this small group study beginning Sunday, September 24th from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Childcare is available upon request. For more information, or to register, please call Debbie Irving at 314-842-2060 x15. Friends and family always welcome.
