Program Committee's
In order for a church to function and serve not only its members but also the surrounding community, various committee's must be in place and functioning. Listed below are the committee's currently functioning at Concord Trinity United Methodist Church and exactly what their ministry is.
Christian Application of TechnologyThe CAT task force enhances the ministry of Concord Trinity incorporating the latest technology in worship services, education, training and administrative tasks.
Church and SocietyThe purpose of the Church and Society Committee is to hold before the congregation the social issues that confront the church, community, state, country, and world. These might include issues of peace and justice, human rights and welfare, environmental and economic justice, and simple survival. Programs throughout the year highlight these issues, and include a World Craft Market in November, a gospel choir concert in January, a coat collection in October, as well as bulletin board displays and inserts in the worship bulletins.
Education - Children'sThe Children’s Education Committee is dedicated to providing the highest quality programming for children and youth in our congregation and community, allowing children to discover what it means to claim the Christian faith for their own. Programs are designed to be inviting, exciting, challenging and creative as they promote faith development and fellowship. This committee strives to maintain a balance of opportunities for children to have learning time with their peers, while encouraging their integration with the wider church congregation.
Education - AdultThe Adult Education Committee has a passion for offering exceptional faith and spiritual development opportunities for adults. Understanding that we continue to grow in our relationship to God throughout life, adult education offerings are designed to creatively engage adults of all ages in transformable study and stimulating discussion groups. Watch your bulletin and newsletter for information about our Wednesday night fellowship program in the spring and autumn, the Day Apart spiritual retreat, and the new small groups that are continuously forming.
