Confirmation

This Summer begins your year for Confirmation. We hope you are excited about your 6th grade year at Concord Trinity United Methodist Church. It is going to be a blast!

What is Confirmation

Confirmation at CTUMC is a 12 month long program for sixth grade youth and their families. It is a special time when participants will learn about and experience the Christian faith. Class Members will learn about our roots and heritage as Christians and United Methodists, the practices of the Christian faith (the Bible, worship, prayer, ethics) and the basic beliefs of the Christian faith, including: God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, salvation, hope beyond death – to name a few.

We will also focus on how to be committed disciples of Jesus Christ. We will have retreats, mission opportunities, field trips, and parties, as well as our awesome weekly class. At the end of the year class members have the opportunity to be confirmed as full members of the church. However, the decision to be confirmed is just that – a decision, a choice. It is not required.

Confirmation Is A Year Long Youth Program

Confirmation is much more than just a Sunday morning class. We’ll have our own parties, trips, retreats, events, activities. Take a deep breath, climb on board, and get ready for an awesome year of fun.

What Else Do We Do?

In addition to the Sunday morning class, we will have a wide variety of special events. These include parent meetings, spring break and summer mission trips, local mission experiences, a few retreats, trips to other churches, monthly recreational activities - and much more.

Who's in Charge Here?

Our Confirmation program is sponsored and administered through our Youth Ministries Department. It is led by Reverend Mark Sheets, Minister to Youth and Families. If you are not currently on the leadership team and are interested in helping, call Mark Sheets at the church.
