The Common Faith
March 15, 2026
People experience faith in many different ways—through different churches, traditions, and communities. Yet beneath those differences, Christians across the world are shaped by a shared story of hope centered on Jesus. Together we explore what lies at the heart of that faith and why it continues to draw people together across cultures, generations, and backgrounds.

Ephesians 4:1–6; 1 Corinthians 15:1–4
I, therefore, beg you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, making every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace: there is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all.
REFLECT
1. What beliefs or practices feel most central to your faith in Christ?
2. When you encounter people from different traditions, what shared faith do you recognize between you and them?
3. How does focusing on what is essential change the way you view differences within the Church?
RESPOND
1. Visit a worship service, faith related activity, or small group outside your usual faith tradition, and note one the things that you experience in common with your own faith.
2. Reach out to someone in your life of a different background and share a personal story of how Jesus has shaped your life.
3. Choose a church or Christian community other than your own in your area or even globally and pray for their ministry, their leaders, and the people they serve.
