Easter Courage

Jesus doesn't walk away from us! Even when we fail or face challenges Jesus comes to us. As long as we have breath Jesus has a calling for us. Jesus will give us the strength and the courage to accomplish our calling when we follow and trust him.

Jesus said to Simon Peter the third time, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter felt hurt because he said to him the third time, “Do you love me?” And he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep.
REFLECT
1. What does this tell you about Jesus’ grace toward Peter? Can you trust Jesus to treat you the same way when you fail?
2. When Peter finally recognized Jesus, he couldn’t wait for the boat to reach shore but jumped into the water. When have you recognized Jesus' presence touching your life? How do you draw near to Jesus as Peter did?
3. In what ways is Jesus calling to grow spiritually with him so that you are still you, but a new you?
RESPOND
1. Jesus calls us all to die to ways of understanding life and faith that do not fit with his life and example. How eager or reluctant are you to follow Jesus into changed thoughts and habits that reveals God's glory?Resolve to make the most of each day of the rest of your life together with God.
2. Think of the lambs around you that God is calling you to feed. Identify a specific way you can do this in the week ahead.
