Supernatural Community
July 27, 2025
What happens when church is more than just being nice or showing up? What if love could be bold, generosity contagious, and courage shared? That’s what happens when God’s Spirit moves among ordinary people. Today we invite you to imagine what it means to be that kind of community.
READ
Acts 4:31- 35, 1 Corinthians 14:1
Now the whole group of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one claimed private ownership of any possessions, but everything they owned was held in common. With great power the apostles gave their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all.
REFLECT
1. Church is not only a place you go but a people you become part of. How does this reshape your understanding of church?
2. What is the difference between a church built around programs or personalities and Spirit-filled, relational body everyone belongs to?
3. What does it mean that church is a "preview of heaven”? What does it look like for your faith community to become this?
RESPOND
1. Choose one person to intentionally connect within your church community, especially someone outside your usual circle. Practice by both offering help and encouragement, but also receiving it. Let the Spirit build humility and interdependence.
2. Practice supernatural generosity. Give something that stretches your comfort—not just money, but time, energy, or your table.
3. Reach out to someone who you may not have noticed before or feels on the margins of the church or community. Invite them into your space or story.
