The Worship We Bring

December 28, 2025

Just as the Magi brought gifts to Jesus, we reflect on the worship we bring—our hearts, our stories, and our trust. Through a story of faith lived in uncertainty, courage, and God’s presence, we are invited to consider how our own lives—with all their questions, fears, and hopes—can become acts of worship. Together, we live into what it means to offer ourselves fully to God, and how our lives participate in something greater than ourselves.

READ

Matthew 2:1-12

The magi set out, and there, ahead of them, went the star that they had seen in the east, until it stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw that the star had stopped, they were overwhelmed with joy. On entering the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they knelt down and paid him homage. Then, opening their treasure chests, they offered him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

REFLECT

1. In what ways do you offer your life as worship, through your time, your presence, or your actions?
2. How have uncertainty, struggle, or waiting shaped your understanding of God’s faithfulness?
3. What small gifts, moments, or parts of yourself can you bring to God, even if they feel ordinary or incomplete?

RESPOND

1. Identify one area of your life (your schedule, your work, your relationships) where you can intentionally bring attention, care, or gratitude to God.
2. Take a moment each day to notice God’s presence in ordinary moments: a conversation, a sunset, a song, or an unexpected encouragement. Offer a prayer of thanks.
3. Share a gift of your time, talent, or presence with someone in need, seeing it as a tangible act of worship and participation in God’s work.
