The Spirit Knows Us Deeply | Honest Change
April 19, 2026
Sometimes the hardest part of change is not knowing what’s really going on beneath the surface. The good news is that God already knows us completely—our thoughts, patterns, and even the parts we don’t fully understand—and meets us with love and grace. The Holy Spirit gently brings clarity and truth, helping us grow from the inside out.
READ
1 Corinthians 2:10–12
God has revealed to us through the Spirit, for the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. For what human knows what is truly human except the human spirit that is within? So also no one comprehends what is truly God’s except the Spirit of God. Now we have received not the spirit of the world but the Spirit that is from God, so that we may understand the gifts bestowed on us by God.
REFLECT
1. Where in your relationships do you feel misunderstood or find yourself misunderstanding others? Are there patterns in how you respond to people (defensiveness, withdrawal, control, people-pleasing) that keep showing up? What does it look like to invite God into those relational moments as they’re happening, not just afterward?
2. Where might your perspective be limited by your own experiences or assumptions? Are there voices, stories, or perspectives you tend to overlook or dismiss too quickly? Why might that be?
3. Where might pride, fear, or insecurity be keeping you from deeper connection or growth with God and with others? What would it look like to live more honestly and vulnerably—not just with God, but with others in your life?
RESPOND
Spirit of God, search my heart. Reveal to me the areas I cannot see—the motives, fears, and patterns that shape my life without my awareness. Illuminate the blind spots I carry, and give me courage to face them with humility. Help me see myself through Your eyes, and teach me to respond with honesty and grace. Holy Spirit, purify my thoughts, enlighten my mind, and move my heart to align with God’s vision for my life.
