Becoming Like Each Other

October 12, 2025

We often expect people to become like us. When we learn to become like each other we find that we are blessed.

READ

Genesis 1:26-27, Galatians 5:1, 13-14, Mark 1:11

And a voice came from the heavens, “You are my Son, the Beloved; with you I am well pleased.”

REFLECT

1. What kind of church do you hope to see in 10 years?
2. What kind of concessions about personal preferences will you have to make to get there?
3. Whether its kids, youth, new guests, or anybody who might be different, are you willing to "become like each other"?

RESPOND

1. Invite God to show you someone whose gifts are overlooked. Intentionally affirm, mentor, or empower them.
2. Engage in an event or small group that intentionally mixes generations, paying attention to how different ages can teach, inspire, and strengthen one another.
3. Ask the Holy Spirit to awaken courage, vision, and bold faith in the people around you, and ask God how you can be part of that process.
