The Habit of Community
March 2, 2025
It's been said that our faith gets us to heaven, but our works bring heaven to earth when we cultivate the habit of doing life together in intentional community, loving one another as Jesus has loved us. We weren't meant to live life alone.
READ
Romans 15:5-6
May the God of steadfastness and encouragement grant you to live in harmony with one another, in accordance with Christ Jesus, so that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
REFLECT
1. Who are the people in your current spheres of life you are doing life together with?
2. Think of three words that describe the current culture in the community of your family, your workplace, or your church. Are you satisfied with what these words say about your community?
3. What in your community needs to be changed?
RESPOND
1. Are you part of an intentional community you can live out your faith together with? If not, consider joining or starting one to strengthen your relationship with God and with others.
2. List three specific ways you can live out loving one another as Jesus has loved us in your family, workplace and community. Put them into action today.
3. Internalize God's command to "love one another as I have loved you" and teach others to do the same in your words and actions.
