The Habit of Grace

February 9, 2025

If you have ever needed grace, you know its power. Grace is love in action after people mess up. Dispensers of grace are people who carry with them the power to heal people and restore relationships.

READ

2 Corinthians 9:8

And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.

REFLECT

1. Have you ever received an unexpected, unearned surprise gift? How did you feel? How did you respond?
2. What does it mean to you that God's love for you is gift and not something that you earn?
3. We often think of Grace and love as passive. How does developing the habit of receiving and giving grace affect our relationship with others?

RESPOND

1. To develop a habit means to practice. What does practicing grace look like in this season of your life?
2. Set aside time each morning and ask God, "Who are you calling me to see, hear and bless today?"
3. Spend time each evening reflecting on those you blessed and those who blessed you. Give thanks for the gift of sharing the blessings of God.
